My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet BLACKJACK. Blackjack is 8 years old and weighs 27 pounds and is a fun sheltie boy. Blackjack does well around other dogs and cats and just loves all of his people attention. He LOVES to run and play and is respectful in his foster home. He is house trained and knows some of his basic commands. Blackjack will need a home that understands the shelties and the herding breed and he will need a secure fenced in yard so he can run and play in a safe area. While Blackjack loves to be with his people and up on the couch for plenty of back scratches, he is not overly fond of being picked up or having someone in his face… this just scares him a bit. Blackjack needs an all adult home with no children and a home that can continue to work with him and his training. He does great on his leash and warms up so quickly with everyone he meets. We are taking applications for Blackjack at this time and apps can be downloaded at: pasheltierescue.org or through email to mikelamontshelties@gmail.com. Blackjack is being fostered in the Washington, PA area, just south of Pittsburgh, PA. A SECURE FENCE IN YARD is mandatory for application approval.
