Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Andy is a FABULOUS dog and has been at CBR for entirely too long! He has stirred up a lot of interest here, and know why he is still here? He is MALE, and he unfortunately gets carsick! We have had numerous adopters decline Andy on these two facts, and it is incredibly frustrating.
Andy is a lovable, affectionate beagle. He loves to lean into you - lol. Andy loves to play with toys, and gets along well with other dogs and cats. He would probably not do very well as the only pet alone all day. He does crave attention. He has shown that he can escape "over" shorter fences, and can figure out how to climb and perch on objects to get over taller ones, so if it is a fenced in yard, it has to be very tall with nothing close by on which Andy could jump onto and then over the fence.
Andy is a pretty mellow guy when he is not playing. We do not think he would do especially well with very young children since they would just be a bit too overwhelming for him. Older kids would be great, though. He is cratetrained and housetrained to a schedule. If you're looking for a great male beagle, and do not feel it necessary to take him with you everywhere to the point that his carsickness will be problematic, then he may be a great match with you.
