Here's your chance to have a mini Golden Retriever! He is only 15 lbs though and his actual mix is Doxie/Spaniel. He thinks he is a Golden Retriever though. :) Marley is an active 1 year old boy, looking to go on adventures! He is quirky, cute and playful. He is always alert and curious; you can tell he is just learning about everything around him all the time. Marley loves car rides and looking out the window at everything! But what he loves most of all are TOYS! Marley always has a toy in his mouth everywhere he goes, and if you take it away, he will carry his leash instead. He likes to collect all the toys in the house and sleep in a pile of them. He enjoys playing tug of war and can play fetch for hours on end! We know he is going to make a great buddy for a family, but he is a little shy at first. He doesn't care much for food or treats, but we have learned the way to his heart is to pull out a stuffed toy to start a game of fetch and he will start to warm up quickly. Marley would do best in a home without small children because they make him nervous. He gets along with other dogs his size, but does not like bigger dogs at all. He came to our rescue with Tallulah (pictured with him) who he loves to play tug of war with and they even sleep together. They lived together for a couple years prior to coming to us. They lived outside most of the time, so they are still being housebroken, but so far, have done well in a crate. They make a great pair and would love to go to a home together but can be adopted separately. If they don't go together, they would prefer to be the only pets in a home.
