Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Noah. He is 4 years old and weighs a skinny 4 lbs. He is being fostered in Boca Raton, FL. His adoption fee is $475.
UPDATED BIO 04/22/2018: Noah is one of 25 dogs pulled by a sister rescue group recently from a horrendous hoarding/backyard breeding situation. He is one of the 10 dogs that UYR was able to bring into United Yorkie Rescue.
Thankfully, unlike 4 of the 10 dogs, Noah is HW-. He has been neutered and had a dental, and is recovering/relaxing in foster mom’s lap while he enjoys the attention that he has not had for all of his short life. Noah’s extended foster family is giving him all the extra love he needs and deserves
Little Noah is adjusting amazingly well according in his foster home. He is learning from his new fur-siblings to walk on a leash and play with toys. He is unbelievably sweet and smart! At just under 4lbs he is a little underweight but his appetite has been increasing with time. He is still somewhat unsure and cautious in his new environment; however, he is very attached to his fur-siblings. Foster Mom said that in Noah’s previous over-crowded and neglectful situation, one thing he obviously did enjoy was having another doggie companion to pal around with. He has let her know that he really needs a forever home where he has a buddy, close to his size and age, and this would make him much happier.
- Due to Noah’s small size, even when he has gained a few pounds, he cannot be adopted into a home with children; he needs an adult-only home. No exceptions will be made.
- Adoption applications are being accepted for Noah; however, please keep in mind that he must gain some much-needed weight before he will be ready for adoption. Please be patient with our process in considering adoption applications for Noah. Our primary interest is getting this sweet boy healthy so that so can continue to enjoy a wonderful life in a loving, forever home.
- UYR is reaching out to our friends, supporters and generous donors in the hopes of raising the thousands of dollars it will cost our group to get Noah healthy, as well as the 9 other dogs from the same hoarding/backyard breeding situation. They not only need to have their vaccinations updated, be neutered or spayed and have extensive labs, but they also need to emotionally heal from years of neglect. For the ones that are HW+, they will soon begin treatment which will last 4-5 months. If you have been moved by Noah's story and his courage and resilience, please consider making a donation to UYR to cover vetting expenses and support our organization as we begin the long process of rehabilitating these precious little dogs.
