My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bree and Sugar are two, 7 yo old Great Danes. While they are not litter-mates, they have been together since birth and Sugar is extremely bonded with Bree, as she is deaf and slighty skiddish around new people.Bree was born deaf but miraculously regained her hearing when she was 1 year old. Sugar is completely deaf..but has eyes like a hawk! Both of the girls have been spayed and have had their stomachs tacked to prevent bloat. Both have been on heartworm and fleapreventative all of their lives. Both are completely housebroken and love other dogs, tolerant/curious of cats (I have two and have had NO problems)..but Bree will chase a goat, donkey or Alpaca in a hot minute! Both love children but don't know their own strength and will topple a toddler easily. Sugar is a beautiful & playful girl. She is a small Dane, only weighing approximately 80 pounds. She is very apprehensive of strangers..but warms up quickly after repeated visits. Once she loves you, she never forgets you and she loves to climb-up into my lap and rest her head on my shoulders. She isn't hyper like her sister, Bree..but if she spots someone driving up in the yard, she makes sure to announce 'the intruder' loudly. Bree has the biggest personality of ANY Dane I've EVER owned. Born deaf, she regained her hearing around the age of 1 and she hasn't slowed down since! She is super-affectionate but anything left laying around is fair-game to her and will result in a game of chase to get it back! Socks, keys, a bag of naval oranges, a dozen cupcakes on the kitchen counter..I could write a book about our adventures. Bree could be the poster child for the Great Dane ZOOMIE Olympics! She lovesto run, swim and tear-up anything with stuffing in it. She is a much larger Dane and I believe she weighs approximately 140 pounds.
