Banjo is a special dog that means a lot to a lot of people. I adopted him from the local animal shelter about four years ago where he had unfortunately lived there for a little over TWO years. There was an article in the local newspaper about him finally being adopted and I think there is still a painting of him at the shelter to give the volunteers hope. When I got him he was skin and bones. He only weighed 35 pounds. He was on a diet of two and a half cups of Blue Buffalo dog food and a can of wet dog food mixed in twice a day. He was a very active dog who was always moving, jumping, and barking. The shelter did such a great job keeping him happy and in good spirits. You would never know by the way he acts he spent two years at an animal shelter. He has calmed down a great deal. Currently he eats a cup of Purina dog food mixed with half a can of wet food once a day plus treats. He weighs about 55 pounds. He turned out to be a great dog. He loves to play with Moses. He likes to sleep on the couch with Moses every night. When he wants you to pet him he will touch you with his wet and cold nose. I would prefer Banjo and Moses be adopted together. I will separate only if Banjo is adopted first and that home must have another dog that Banjo can play with. Banjo and Moses need a big yard to run and play in.
