My basic info
Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Phineas came to us a few days ago, surrendered by his former guardian.
Skittish, confused, and untrusting, his behavior painted a sad picture of abandonment and neglect. But things begun quickly turning around for this stunning boy, as he started to accept the love and care given to him in his foster home. Proper nutrition, spacious housing, and daily out-of-cage time, paired with socialization and new companionship, made all the difference. We’re happy to report that today, so soon after intake, Phineas is a new piggy; he is affectionate, trusting, and ready to start his new life and to meet his new family.
Already seen by our vet, and deemed to be in good health, Phineas is ready for adoption. If interested in meeting and adopting, get in touch. Email adopt@emptycagescollective.org for info on appropriate housing, diet, required out-of-cage enclosure and time, as well as a link to our online adoption application.
*Please note: Guinea pigs are incredibly social creatures that thrive in pairs or groups, and we never really know about their true personalities until they are living among other members of their species.
Empty Cages aims to respect their natural bonds, so we only adopt guinea pigs in pairs, or to homes that already have one or more.
