My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

McGee is an adorable spaniel mix, a fuzzy teddy bear who will melt your heart. His true breed is a puzzler - mom's a chihuahua/feist mix but we are not sure about dad. He appears to be a spaniel/chihuahua mix, that's our best guess. He's a lightweight, about five pounds, very loving and sweet. He's the most laid back of his siblings and loves sleeping alone. McGee will be adopted at ten weeks and will be neutered by this rescue and will be up to date with age appropriate vaccinations. We will place McGee in either an adult home or with older, mature, respectful kids because of his tiny size. For pups this age socialization is key with both humans and other stimuli, so a home where someone is around a good part of the day would be appreciated. Pups are often returned with the excuse that they can't be house trained, only to find that no one was ever home to train them. McGee is learning to use a peewee pad indoors, but springs is the perfect time to potty train a pup outdoors, and hopefully the pads will be a thing of the past.
