My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Florence is one of the nicest and sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. She's a 6 year old English Bulldog mix that Director Greg Willey rescued from the Cleveland City Kennels. Florence is partially blind but doesn't let that deter her. Once she gets the lay of the land she's good to go. Volunteers usually take another dog with them when they walk her and she follows right along. Flo likes other dogs and adores people. She wants everyone to be her best friend. A house with another friendly dog would be great for Florence. Also a home without a lot of steps would be helpful. This girl will be a great companion pet for any lonely soul, couple or family. You really need to stop by and visit this lovebug. You will love her as much as she loves you!

From Director Greg Willey..."This sweet Bulldog mix tugged at the heartstrings of my staff and volunteers. Her eyes were a mess from untreated conjunctivitis that caused a lot is scarring on her corneas. The team at One of a Kind removed some of the conjuctiva around the eye to make her more comfortable. She may have chronic dry eye that will require eye drops... She is partially blind and probably sees the world as if she were walking through a long and dark tunnel, but we are hoping that a wonderful, patient and caring family waiting at the end of that tunnel. Are you that family? "

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
