Poor little Georgi! Such a sweet boy who loves to play, play, and play more. Foster Mom loves to watch him but was distraught when she noticed he held his right rear leg up when running. An appointment at the vet verified the suspicion, he has a severe luxating patella issue, and needs surgery. He also has an issue with the left rear leg, but not severe. We have scheduled his surgery, which will be in 2 weeks. He also needs a dental, which hopefully can be done at the same time. His playing will have to be restricted for at least 8 weeks, if not more. Not an easy thing to do, because this boy loves to play. All this will be very expensive. But we want a bright, happy, healthy future for this adorable little boy. If you could help us pay for Georgi's surgery, it would be greatly appreciated. We also would love your prayers and positive thoughts that all goes well for him through his surgery and recovery. Initial Bio 3/24/18: This duo of young, adorable best pals have had a rough year so far. First, their owner was a victim of the fires that plagued the San Diego area. Displaced from their home, they were given to a friend for safe keeping until the owner could recover. That proved more challenging than anticipated and the original owner found that they were unable to come for them. The friend was given ownership with the intent of finding them a good home but is a widow with limited resources who after much heart ache reluctantly decided that UYR could give this precious pair the best start possible to a PAWFECT new life. These two pups are healthy, sweet as can be and are going to make some lucky adopter very happy! Stay tuned for updates as they have just reached their foster home.
