My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mabel came to us pregnant and in horrible condition as a stray from our county shelter. It was obvious her former home was not very nice to her, as she was scared to death and uncomfortable with love and attention. Over the past few months she has raised her family well and has learned life is not so bad. Mabel enjoys her comfy bed, a never ending food bowl and the the kindness of humans. She is now spayed, current on vaccines, but unfortunately, like many others that come into rescue, she is heartworm positive. We have started her on medication and we are confident she will do well. She is feeling great and like all dogs will require a monthly heartworm medication for the rest of her life. Mabel is extremely sweet and gentle, and would thrive in a loving calm environment.
