My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PILOTS N PAWS flew me to Auburn, CA giving me a second chance to find a furr-ever home. I loved my flight.

My birth date is October 06, 2014. I weigh 55 pounds.

I have no idea if I am really Lab/GSD. My new foster Mom took 2 cheek swabs and sent them to www.wisdompanel.com I will know by the second week of May who my ancestors are.

UPDATE: 05/02/2018 DNA results are in and oh my, I had no idea! I am 25% American Staffordshire Terrier ~ 12.5% Alaskan Malamute ~ 12.5% American Bulldog ~ 12.5% Bullmastiff ~ 12.5% German Shepherd Dog ~ 12.5% Siberian Husky ~ 12.5% Unknown. The genetic markers are not strong enough to be identified, but in the * Guard * Asian * Terrier groups.

A little more about me. I was picked up running loose with another dog I lived with and impounded. Because I am microchipped, the police contacted my owner. She redeemed her other dog, but abandoned me! Some amazing ladies that do animal rescue saw how unhappy I was and sprung me from impound as my time ran out. They literally saved my life!

I am a quiet girl and rarely bark, unless there is a good reason. I am not destructive, even when left alone loose in the house. I am not an escape artist. I don't dig holes. I am gentle with small puppies, energetic adult dogs, respectful of older grumpy dogs and tolerant to toddlers who suddenly run at me and stick their faces right in mine. I am very social and like being with my humans. Nothing I like better than snuggling on the sofa or bed with my humans. I ride well in the car.

I am probably OK with very dog-friendly cats that don't run from me. I met some in my foster Mom's home and thought they were intriguing, but I won't go near them.

My adoption fee is $300.

I am not the kind of dog to leave in the yard while children are in school and adults are at work. I require a securely fenced yard of appropriate size for potty and play. A home check will be done and references checked. Applicants will be asked to complete a short application and should live within 2 hours driving time of Auburn, CA.

Email fosterfamily.dogs@gmail.com for an adoption application. Thank you.
