I accepted these kitties in December for someone who was going through a divorce and could not take them with her. I am quite experienced and have fostered domestic and wild animals all my life. These cats are very timid and do not solicit attention. They are co-dependent and although they love catnip and love to play with a laser light and feathers on a pole, they do not want to be touched. I've tried numerous times to let them roam free in my home but my neutered Main-Coon mix is aggressive toward them. I can't in good conscience keep them in one room and believe they would do well with other animals that were not aggressive toward them. Their co-dependence could also be part of the issue as they depend on each other for security. I later found out from the owner that she had purchased these cats from a Cattery at the age of 8 months and in my opinion, these cats were never socialized with humans and were only around other cats. The owner also worked in DC and traveled a lot.
