My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Jethro loves playing with other dogs and playing fetch with balls. He always wants to run and run and run. Jethro loves to cuddle, is eager to please and is very intelligent with learning new things. He is kennel/crate trained and is currently working on full house training. Bell training (ringing a bell on the door when needing to go out) has been most effective for his potty training thus far. Because he is still very young, Jethro will occasionally have accidents in the house if very excited or really needs to potty and cues are missed.

He loves children of all ages and is great with other animals (dogs and cats). Jethro would love a house with another companion animal(s) and/or children. He loves to play and would enjoy a house with lots of fetch and cuddle time as he is a huge lovebug. His favorite pastime is playing fetch with balls.

Part of our adoption contract is a promise to attend a puppy training class to ensure Jethro has a great start learning the rules of life as a family member.  Are you ready to commit to training?  Have a hefty dose of patience and love to hand it out?  Are you ready for puppy breath, cuddles, laughter and more?  Then perhaps Jethro is the boy for you :)  Please do your research on puppy ownership before applying, - remember, the time you put into your dog will be returned ten fold!  Since Jethro is still potty training he cannot be crated or left alone for more than 3 to 4 hours at a time.  Please make sure you are ready for that commitment.

Please read on for instructions on how to apply:

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org/forms.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog, but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $400 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping.
