My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Some of the dogs from the hoarding situation spent their entire lives to this point sitting in a pack of outside dogs, having litter after litter, of which many of the litters died or were killed. They were fearful and several would bite if approached. This is one of the biters. As you will see in the first picture, she no longer bites me but gives me little nibbles along to tell me she loves me, usually followed up by many, many kisses. I thought she would have to be a companion for Shorty the man eater and that no one would EVER think of adopting her. I was so very wrong. Ericka will be the best dog some lucky person has ever had, given the chance and time to adjust. Sometimes, getting close to a dog's heart is just knowing their signs and signals and learning to respect them. When Ericka is ready to be picked up (and she usually is), simply wait for her to give you the little paws up signal and she's all yours. Did I mention she is tiny, just the right size for an empty lap that has a heart full of love to give? No more puppies for this girl. Sunshine and roses are in her future now! :)
