I'm Alice. I just arrived in NJ from KS. I was found as a stray and the shelter thought I was probably about 14 months old. My NJ foster mom isn't even sure I'm that old, but since the paperwork says so, we are sticking with it!
Check out my blog for updates: http://www.egspcrpalice.blogspot.com/
I'm only 44 lbs, and I'm leggy and a bit thin. Once I get a few good meals in me, I'll probably fill out to a nice 50 lbs or so. I want to keep my girlish figure, but right now I'm looking more like a runway model :)
I'm active and have plenty of energy. I love to play with toys - hard and soft - and run around. Sometimes I think shoes are toys too - luckily my foster mom corrects me. I'm curious. I like to explore and learn... what can I say? I'm friendly with other dogs - both boys and girls. There are two dogs in my foster home and I get along with both just fine. There is a small dog next door and I just sniff it through the fence when it barks at me. She doesn't bother me any.
I love people. My tail wags so much when I meet new friends. I'm very affectionate and snugly. I love to be near my foster family and love when they pet me and scratch my belly. I love the cozy dog beds throughout the house, but would also love to get on a couch with my family. They don't let me though and I listen well.
While I don't have much training, my foster mom is very pleased with how behaved I am. I haven't had a single accident in the house. I'm learning about a crate and my foster mom is happy with that too. I whine for just a bit and then settle in and can be crated for extended periods without complaint. I need some basic training, but my foster mom says I'm a quick learner and a good listener so it shouldn't be any trouble for me.
I definitely have an interest in hunting. I love squirrels and rabbits and would do anything to get to them. So with the right training, my foster mom thinks I may be a bird dog too!
I respect fencing, but right now I drag around a long leash because my foster mom likes me so much she wants to make sure she doesn't loose me. At least that's what she tells me when I get frustrated because the darn thing is stuck around a tree...
I'm a really good girl. Even though I look like an older dog because of my size, I'm still very much a puppy. If you are looking for a carefree, fun loving pooch, I'm your girl!
