Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ramzy is a Slovensky kopov known in the US a Slovensky Hound or Black Forest Hound. We believe he was bought from a breeder in Europe (I think Poland) and shipped here. About a year, male, 35-44lbs. To the best of our knowledge the original owner got the pup for his wife. When she became ill the husband wanted to get rid of the dog and threatened to hurt him to a coworker. Being a Good Samaritan This coworker said he would take the dog till they could find a home or rescue. Unfortunately they never had a large dog before and one daughter is scared to death of big dogs and the other daughter is allergic. Ramzy’s life was lived in mostly a kennel (they lived in an apartment) no yard to run in. The was never socialized with other dogs or people. Not aggressive at all though, normal bark and small growls. Will not take long to learn to trust. After walking Ramzy around the block once he sat on my feet. We were told he was neglected (not sure if he was hit but he was yelled at and arms thrown towards him) so he does get a bit nervous with sharp movements at first, that didn’t last long with us. He is very sweet and will do great in a home when given attention, training and love. Was told he is house broken which probably means kennel trained since most of his time was spent there.
