My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pogo is approximately 6 months old. She was rescued from a central Wyoming shelter, where she was an owner surrender due to her energy level. We think she is the pup of another one of our rescues, who is a border collie/aussie mix. Pogo is slightly stockier than a typical border collie, showing some of her aussie roots.

Pogo is a very high energy puppy. She doesn't walk – she races. Everywhere. She loves to chase after a ball, but hasn't quite learned to bring it back. One of her favorite games is to chase a ball on a tugger around and around. Like most pups her age – she loves to chew so needs some appropriate chew toys around. She gets along well with all the other dogs in her foster home, engaging them in play and generally being the instigator in races through the house.

Pogo has learned some basic obedience, though stay is a bit beyond her capabilities right now. She has shown some obsession with flashing lights and operating ceiling fans, so a home committed to vigorous daily exercise as well as lots of mental stimulation will keep this girl on the right track!

Energy Level: High – needs a few hours of vigorous exercisse daily. Would do well with a jogger or as a full-time doggy athlete.
