I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This sweetheart is looking for his forever home.. Jack is an adorable little 6-8 year old male maltese mix. He presently weighs about 10 lbs. This little guy ended up in a cold and scary shelter due to no fault of his own. His mommie had developed dementia and eventually had to be placed in assisted living. She loved little Jack dearly but because of her condition he became badly neglected. He started to loose his hair and became very nervous in the shelter. He was scared. He spent about a month in the shelter before they would release him. When his foster mommie brought him home he had a severve upper respirtory condition. His foster mommy spent weeks caring for him, loving him and helping him to heal. Today Jack is completely well. He’s a happy little guy and he’s adjusted very well. His hair has grown back and he’s absolutely precious. Initially it was obvious that Jack had never been on stairs. He has now learned how to climb them all by himself and does a great job. However, he’s still a little nervous about coming down them on his own. If his foster mommy puts a leash on him to guide him back down he does fine. It will probably not be long before he masters that too.
We are looking for a home for Jack that will love him and take care of him. The home should not have any small children. Jack can be a little snappy but his foster mom has worked with him on this and he’s improved a great deal. He’s never bitten anyone. It’s sort of his way of saying back off. However, he rarely does it anymore...except once recently with the groomer. She kissed him and he was fine after that. LOL Jack does very well on a leash and would love going for walks. Jack also does well with other dogs. We do not know how he is with cats. The only thing Jack is missing is a forever home of his own.
