Named for the "Queen of Soul" Aretha Franklin, this sweet girl will be the queen of your soul! You'll immediately be struck by how beautiful she is, but then her personality will make you fall in love with her. She is spunky but calm, energetic but controlled, smart but submissive, independent but loyal. Hailing from New York, Aretha has been loved and adored by her family for all of her 8 years. She is in excellent health, always (and currently) up to date on all vaccines and preventative meds. Life happens, and the current environment of work and kids and moving to Nashville for a family health emergency has brought to light that Aretha longs for the days of a quiet home, where she thrives.

Aretha is looking for a home with adults only and no other pets. She wants to be your co-pilot, travel buddy, hiking other-half, patio partner, picnic-scrap-eater, guard dog, and lap warmer. If you're an experienced dog owner looking for a canine companion with which to share your life, Aretha is your girl. She is fine to watch over your home while you are at work, and while she can go for exciting adventures, she is perfectly happy hanging out after a quick walk -- she's delightfully low-maintenance.

Aretha is fully vaccinated and spayed She is 8 years old and weighs 51lbs. She is leash, house, and crate trained. She is chipped, and registration will be switched at time adoption is complete. Home visit and references required to begin adoption trial, but can do a meet and greet prior to submitting an application.
