My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Athena is your perfect companion!
She's about a year and a half old and is extremely calm and quiet. Athena is not a fan of cats or small dogs but does will with all other dogs similar or larger than her size. She is a German Shepherd in every way other than her size, she's about half the size of a full grown German Shepherd. As mentioned before, Athena is a very calm dog. She likes to just sit and watch but she is always up to play, learn new things, go on walks, and have some fun! Athena is a little shy with new dogs, and does not like it if they get too close to her. Once she warms up to them however, she does excellent with them!
**Athena is a resource guarder. She is food aggressive. However we have found that she is not aggressive towards humans, only other dogs and we have never had any issues with her hurting other dogs at all, only warning growls. Because of this, Athena is fed inside of her crate in a room with the door shut. As long as she is kept separate from other dogs while eating she is great. She also guards toys so we have not let her play with any toys (with humans or dogs) so that she does not become stressed out.
Because of these reasons, we would not recommend her to a home with small children. Athena is not good with cats or small dogs.
Athena is crate trained, house trained, knows basic obedience (and is learning advanced obedience), walks great on a leash, and is socialized. Athena loves treats and being with her handler. She is small, calm, and a great dog.
