My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the lovely Lilly. This darling lady just lost her 'person'. Sadly, her owner of the last five years recently passed away. Lilly's other family has been caring for her the best they can, but are unable to provide her with the lifetime of care that would be best for her. Lilly was very loved by her owner, and was the center of her universe. Lilly did not leave her owners side until the day she passed away. And sadly, as much as the other family members would love to honor their mother's memory by keeping Lilly bug, they realize what's best for her is not something they can provide.

It's hard to believe Lilly will be turning 10 years old this year, she looks and acts like a puppy. as she is a very active and spry lady.  As best we can tell, she is a Poodle/Shih Tzu mix and weighs about 13 pounds. She would do best in a home with an active senior who would be home more than not.

Lily is a dog with hair not fur and requires regular grooming.  She will need to be professionally groomed every six or eight weeks.  The more brushing you do at home the longer between hair cuts. This can be a significant additional expense you should consider before completing an application.

My adoption fee is $300, which covers the cost of routine vetting, rabies and distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter surgery, heartworm testing, my microchip, monthly heartworm prevention, monthly flea/tick prevention, and any transport costs if applicable.

If you can't adopt me, consider sponsoring my care and being a rescue angel. Click on the DONATE button below and chip in what you can. Your donation is tax deductible and helps us save more lives!

You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster home for a dog in need! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please check out our information about fostering on our website:

MMR covers the vet care, food, and tools to get started. You supply the love. Fostering saves lives. Sometimes a foster home is the only thing standing between life and death.
