My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Cajun. I'm a 4-year-old neutered male Chihuahua mix. I weigh 11 pounds .I'm as cute as they come, with a very interesting thick almost curly coat and a winning personality to match! Not only am I neutered, I'm also microchipped and current on my vaccines. I'm all ready to move into my forever home.

I'm happy, sweet and a little shy at first but still friendly, and did I mention I love belly rubs? I also love walks and lots of cuddle time.

I was brought into North central shelter after the fires burned my family's house down. They said they would be back , so I waited patiently for a couple of months waiting and waiting for my owner to come back for me but nothing ever happened. The shelter did not have room to keep me any longer. I thought that was it for me, until one day A wonderful volunteer reached out to CageFree rescue and told them my story. As soon as they heard they came and saved the day! They got me out of there right away. The next thing I knew, I was in the car headed over to the rescue facility. Once I got here I unpacked my treats and got to know all my new rescue friends. I just love humans and canines alike!
