Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cameron is a very gentlemanly fellow who was found as a stray and turned into GBGRR. He is light blonde with a handsome sugar face and some curly hair. Unfortunately he was very matted when he was found, so some of his beautiful curls had to be shaved off. He was very sweet and patient at the vet clinic, and accepted ear cleaning and nail trimming without protest. He is estimated to be about 11 or 12 years old and has a bit of typical old Golden stiffness in the back end when he gets up, but that didn't stop him for playing with a Border Collie when he went outside today! He is housebroken and seems to have good house manners. He gets along well with other dogs, puppies and kitties.
Cameron weighs in at 70 lbs. and is at an appropriate weight for his size. He is current on vaccinations, neutered and heartworm negative.
Foster Update 3/1/09:
Cameron is doing very well. Despite the arthritis in is back legs, he has good energy and seems to want to play with my boys. He barks at them to get attention so they’re not sure what to think! His ears are clearing up and he tolerates cleaning very well. He is slightly deaf also. He is a sweet boy and will make someone a wonderful companion!
Foster Update 2/6/09:
To update, he is fine with cats, although he does bark at them when he sees them at a distance. His right side has a large shaved area where the person who found him shaved off several clumps of matted hair. I could not do much to even it out unless I shaved the whole dog, and I didn't think that was in Cameron's best interest. He is very stiff in his left rear leg, especially when he first gets up, but as you will see in the photos, he is perfectly willing to run out in the back yard with the other dogs! He's very sweet, very well behaved and would be a very gentle companion for someone.
