Hi, my name is Dale and unfortunately the first part of my life has not been good. I was living in a bad home where I was abused. Because of this I am shy and insecure around strangers, especially men. I need a family who will understand this and be kind and patient with me. I would like a home with a fenced in yard where I can go out and play. No small children as they may scare me. I am completely housetrained and love to go for car rides. My favorite game is playing ball. I don't destroy anything in the house, and I really don't like being in a cage or confined. I prefer just to sit at the window or door and wait for you to come home. I get along well with most dogs, but can be protective of my ball. I never had any toys so this is all new to me. I would really like someone with me part of the day, not because I can't be left alone but simply because I get very attached to my 'human'. I am a very loving dog who just needs to feel secure and to know that I will be properly treated from now on. I like to go for walks too, but I pull a little so I need to be taught....I was never walked before. Will you be the right family for me?
