Hello, my name is Mika.  I am a big, beautiful, black lab.  My family was heartbroken to give me up but they had to move and so I have been given to Rosie’s to find a new family.

I have a very good heart and I know right away when good people care about me and I love them right back.  I curl around their legs like a cat, wagging and smiling, and just happy to be me and happy to have people near.  I’ll tell you nice stories while you pet me, and I squirm and turn to help you cover as much ground as possible.

I love walks and need to build up to more activity.  You see, I have put on more than a little winter weight.  I need to lose quite a bit, but gradually and healthily.  So frequent, short walks are in order and before you know it, I will be an athlete again and one stunning girl.  I actually think of myself as quick and active, having a great old life of adventure, or so my foster family thinks, because I dream of running and howl very softly in my sleep.

Wake me up, and boy am I happy to see you.  I am all joy from sun up to sun down.
