My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

9 yrs old

Good with dogs: yes

Good with cats: yes

Kids: over 12

UPDATE:  Louna is currently being tested for a possibility of early kidney failure.   She stills needs to find her family, though.  Rosie’s is pursuing the tests and with proper diet (vet Kidney diet), she can still have a good amount of life left on the outside.  This sweet girl spent her first 8 years making puppies and we so want her to have a good retirement, for however long it will be.

Little Louna (was Bella) was a Rosie adoption last year but her guardian has to move out of the country and it would be too much for this sweet little girl.    She is 9 years old and her past has left her a little sensitive.

Her life before adoption was as a breeder dog in a commercial breeding facility.  So she had little human contact, no exercise, no love of a family, no joy.  Since adoption, she became used to the wonder that most family-owned dogs know: care, cuddles, good food, love, and play.

She is as quiet as a mouse, so no issues taking her into condos or apartments that allow pets.  She makes little grunts and squeaks when she is enjoying belly rubs and she loves snuggles on the couch.  At first, she can be skittish, but once she is comfortable, she is a funny little ball of fur bouncing down the hall.  Her face still shows the puppy joy of freedom when she runs. She gamely trots beside her lanky foster brother (he’s 70 lbs) and she fearlessly walks between his legs as we go out for walks.  They both have to be outside first!

She loves frequent, short walks.  And she is still working on stairs.  She uses pee pads and also goes outside.  She does have a very predictable schedule though, so there is a good possibility that she could be 100% clean in the house with some more training.

She is a good little girl and she needs a kind and mellow retirement home with the love she has newly become used to.
