My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kermit is fostered in the Cleveland Ohio through United Yorkie Rescue http://unitedyorkierescue.org.
Kermit is an 8 yr. old 10 lb. little GIRL who came into rescue on January 2, 2018. Kermit came into United Yorkie Rescue when her owner was unable to take care of her any longer due to illness.
Kermit gets along well with polite dogs her size, but does not get along with big dogs. She will do well in a single (small) dog home with NO small animals (birds, rabbits, etc.). She loves kids (Well behaved polite kids, of course!)
Kermit has some health issues we're addressing; she had no hair on her back and her stomach was bloated. Her foster mom switched to a grain-free limited ingredient dog food and the bloating is gone and her hair is growing back. To support her recovery she was put on an antihistamine/steroid and antibiotic which hopefully will clear up her remaining skin problems. We have changed her food (NUTRO Limited Ingredient Diet) as well, and think this just may have been the issue causing her skin issues and hair loss and tummy bloating, but are monitoring to make sure this was the reason.
She is not 100% potty trained so we're working on that. She sleeps in bed with her fosters, but can also be found sometimes sleeping with her 15 year old foster sibling cuddled up sweet as can be. Sweet little Kermit has some anxiety which we're hoping will improve once she has settled in and is feeling better. She would probably do best in a home that has someone home most of day so she is not left alone and requires a fenced yard.
