UPDATED BIO 03/07/2018: Hi everyone, Abigail here. I'm one of the new kids on the block. My sister Trixie and I are very lucky to have been saved by United Yorkie Rescue. We were originally in a home where we were not cared for very well and we were very sad there. But then we went to this nice lady's home for a while. She was away from home a lot of hours every day and knew it wasn't the best situation for us so she contacted the great people at UYR and after a few emails and forms signed, we were on our way to our new foster home.
Our foster mom says we are very affectionate and love to be held or on her lap. We follow her everywhere. We love to explore the big back yard. Regrettably, because we were raised in such dismal surroundings, we were never house-trained or taught how to walk on a leash. Our foster mom said she'd help us learn.
We saw the vet yesterday and both Trixie and I got all our updated vaccinations. My ears are being treated for a yeast infection - ouchie. My knees do not show signs of subluxation, whatever that means. I tested negative for heartworms and parasites and am now on preventative for both. Trixie and I are scheduled to be spayed and have our teeth cleaned next week. The vet said I may have to have several teeth pulled since they haven't been cared for very well. Yikes!
One last note. My sister Trixie and I are bonded and we have to be adopted together. I don't know what I'd do without Trixie by my side. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Abigail out.
