Meet Mac! This handsome gentle giant was born around January 2015. He weighs a hefty 126 pounds which his vet says is healthy for him. He will melt your heart with his beautiful eyes and gentle spirit.

Mr. Mac is a loyal, loving boy. He has been well loved and well looked after. He likes being around people, and he does not ask for a lot of attention. Occasional pats and scratches are what he likes.

He tends to be a little shy of strangers at first, but if you let him take a sniff, he will be your new best friend.

Mac is great with kids! When he sees tiny kids on his walks, he sits and lets the kids pet him. He loves to smell babies’ feet in strollers!

He prefers spending most of his time in the house with you, and sometimes goes in the backyard to bask briefly in the warm sun on a cool day.

Mac loves to take walks in morning and evenings and does well with a harness. He relishes going slowly to smell the roses along the way. Then he enjoys napping all day.

He is fine seeing other dogs on walk his walks; he is trained to sit, and then he gets a little treat. He is housed trained and has no need for a crate.

He used to live with another Pyrenees that he got along with. He could also be fine as an only dog.

He barks when people are at the door and when he sees other dogs walk by his window. He is a great security system.

He loves riding in a car.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention.
