Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Moose
Moose is an approximately 3 year old Mantle Dane. His personality is extremely sweet and gentle. He does seem skittish of men at first but does fine in his foster home with his foster Dad. Moose still has some puppy-like moments and loves to eat stuffed animals if he can get to one but does fantastic with everything else in the home. He currently sleeps in a large office on a chaise lounge but would do fine on a dog bed as well. He does not seem to have separation issues and does great when left alone. Moose is a very laid-back Dane. He will lay on the couch with you all day if you choose.
Moose came into rescue after he was found tied to a tree, underweight with possible structural damage to the lower half of his body. The injury causes him to have a gait that is very off and makes him seem a bit unsteady. He has seen by the vet and will move forward with x-rays to determine the extent of his injury. He does take medicine daily to help with any discomfort.
He is completely house trained. Moose will go to the door to go outside. He loves car rides and does well on a leash. He currently lives in a home with small children and does very well with them. He had minimal manners when he arrived but has learned them quickly. He understands and listens very well.
Moose will do best in a home with one floor. He does not do well on stairs and is a fall risk. Moose is also very submissive due to his injury. He lacks the strength to defend himself or even play on fair terms. He currently is in a foster home with an older female Dane who is also very laid back.
Moose will remain on Medical Hold until we are able to determine the cause and extent of his injury and any possible corrections.

Moose is a Special Needs Dane. Moose will need a home that is one floor, no stairs. He does not have a lot of strength in his lower half. We have had x-rays done that confirmed there are no broken bones. He does take an inexpensive medication daily and it is helping him to enjoy life. He is very tall and on the thinner side at just 100 lbs. He should maintain this size so he doesn’t have too much pressure on his lower half. He also has very good manners. He's very gentle and loves your attention. Moose doesn't make much noise. He is not a barker and greets people very gentle. His personality is wonderful.
Moose does great with his Foster Sister who is a 5yr old Dane. Moose has done fine around other dogs when introduced as well. He will do best in a home by himself or with another dog who is laid back. He has shown no food aggression and is house broken. He will go to the door to go outside.
Moose is currently in a Foster home which has children. He has done very well with them. He loves when they lay with him and pet him.
Moose loves to be with his Foster Mom where ever she goes. He doesn't have any separation anxiety when we are gone. He does great sleeping in a large office by himself. He can also be trusted to roam the house while we are away.
Update 3/30/18
Moose is doing fantastic. He has adjusted very well in his Foster home. Continues to be extremely gentle with the children in the home. He has no issues meeting new people Men or Women. His manners are great he understands "wait" now so there are no problems opening the door if someone arrives. He will patiently wait to greet them. We have practiced the stairs which have carpet and he is doing phenomenal. He takes one step at a time.
Overall Moose loves car rides and loves to eat cheese. He has such a loving spirit and would make a wonderful companion.
Cats: Ok? Doesn't live with one but ignored the roaming cats in vets office.
Dogs: Yes
