Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Moses is a 8-year-old neutered male chocolate lab. Moses weighs 63 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.
Feb 8, 2018: Moses is very sweet, gentle, and calm. He loves attention and treats. Moses was tested on lead with other dogs at the shelter and was fine. We don't know how Moses is with cats. There's no kid history for Moses, so he's approved for kids ages 10 and up.
Feb 16, 2018: Moses arrived at his foster home today and is enjoying the first real perfect sleep after the chaos of the kennel. He's very food motivated and takes his meds easily. He is so very skinny, but eats well and gets along with the resident canine ladies. He is enjoying playing in the fenced yard, and is strong on the leash, so should be walked with an Easy Walk harness. He's very interested in the squirrels that visit the yard. He's a quiet boy, and didn't seem bothered by some workmen in his foster's home. He's a very sweet boy!
Moses is from a rural area and has not been exposed to traffic, noise, or groups of people. If dogs are overwhelmed by their environment, they can exhibit behaviors like excessive barking. For now, to avoid this, we are limiting placement to standalone, single family homes in a suburban neighborhood or rural area. After Moses has been in a foster home for at least a week or two, we will evaluate if placement can be expanded to include a more urban environment and will send out an update.
Adopters must meet these requirements:
Setting: Rural, Suburban
Dwelling: Single Family Home
Fencing: No Fence Required.
