My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Wren is very affectionate and prefers to be with her people. She sleeps on the bed, she loves her toys and is very playful with her foster sister, Beauty. Wren outweighs Beauty by about 20 or more pounds, but if the little one growls at her when they are eating she will not go near the bowl. She likes to go for walks and explore and doesn't mind the rain. She learned how to use the dog door on day one by just watching the other dogs going in and outside by themselves. She is very smart, cuddly, and we are in love with her. She's a gentle giant of a pup. She loves squeaky toys and will need a fenced yard as she is quite the explorer. She would be a perfect fit for a young or older couple or a family, since she is such a people pleaser. I can't imagine any home with a loving human that she would not be perfectly happy in .

Part of our adoption contract is a promise to attend a puppy training class to ensure she has a great start learning the rules of life as a family member.  Are you ready to commit to training? Have a hefty dose of patience and love to hand it out? Are you ready for puppy breath, cuddles, laughter and more? Then perhaps Wren is the girl for you :)  Please do your research on puppy ownership before applying, - remember, the time you put into your dog will be returned ten fold!

Please read on for instructions on how to apply:

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $400 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
