Lady and her litter mates were found in an olive orchard. Originally there was 10 puppies and 8 have found furever homes. You might say mom was into free love as the litter was a mixture of coat colors, fur length and body proportions.
This wonderful young lady has been housed by the same foster since they were rescued. Some of the litter showed signs of skittishness while some were out going. Lady is skittish.
It will take time for her to warm up to a new family. Loud noises will make her cower just as new places. She will need time to adjust to new situations. Once she is comfortable, she is a very loving young lady who likes to play and have her back rubbed and belly scratched.
She is very good about her bathroom needs. She seldom has issues unless she cannot get outside. During the day her and her sister have run of the backyard and kitchen/dinning area. At night they are allowed to come into the front-room and sleep with one of the volunteers.
Please give this awesome girl a chance. One she warms up, you will have a furever shadow who loves you.
As with any new companion, it is wise to spend good quality time with them and let them explore their new surrounding while you set the boundaries. It is also good to make sure they have a 'special' area they can escape to when company comes. This will make both you and your companion have a much better relationship.
Love of Animals will screen potential adoption parents to ensure the companion WILL NOT be a fighting dog.
