5/20 - My name is Patty I am 12 weeks old and weigh about 4lbs. I'm a shy little girl, but starting to blossom and come out of my shell. I'm one of 7 puppies that were dropped off to a shelter in West Virginia. MMR saved all of us, and 5 of my siblings have already found their forever homes.
I've already received my first and second puppy shot, but will need one more over the next several weeks. In the meantime, I am hanging out with my remaining litter mates....we play, sleep and eat, and then start all over again. My vet says that none of us will be more than 7 or 8 lbs pounds when fully grown. Based on that information, MMR will not place me in a home with children under the age of 12. I will just be too tiny for the little ones to handle. I am sure I will love children, but because of my small size, I should never be left unattended with them.
I have not been spayed/neutered, because I am too young and tiny. My new family will be expected to have this done when I am around 6 months old, as explained in the adoption contract. I am also not house trained, so anyone who adopts me will need to begin that and other training when I am around 3 months old. It will take a huge commitment from my person or family to make sure that I am taken out a minimum of every two hours, so If you want to bring me home, one adult must be home during the day. NO EXCEPTIONS.
If you would like to bring a little love into your life, I may be just what you are looking for!!! Please fill out an adoption application to begin the approval process.....Hurry, because I won't be around too long.
PS-BE SURE TO CHECK OUT OUR GROUP PHOTO :-)
The adoption fee for these dog is $350 each, covers the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered , you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. MMR can provide you with low cost spay/neuter resources at one of our many vet partners.
***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help, surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs, etc....all things that often result in adoptable dogs left behind to be euthanized. So adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many!***

You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please check out our information about fostering.
