11 month old Bassett Staffy Mix

Fostered in Silver Spring, MD

3/13/12- My name is Mocha. I a gorgeous female staffy mix, and weigh 60lbs. I am a mere 11 months old, so my life is just getting started. My story is not an unusual one unfortunetly; Someone bought me from a breeder, I ended up unwanted as I got bigger so I was given up, and so I ended up in a rescue. Luckily, a very nice woman is taking great care of me and giving LOTS of treats and attention. (maybe too many treats but we are working on that).

Even though I am believed to be a 'pure' breed Stafforshire, the vet believes I may have some Basset Hound in me if you can believe that! I have the body and the feet of a Basset-I'm also low to the ground like a basset. But whatever I am, you can be assured that I am SUPER SUPER sweet and social. I love other dogs and am great with kids too. I'm active, but not super hyper. I have a great energy, and love to lay on your lap. (I tend to think I'm much smaller and ligher than I really am). I walk well on a leash, and am house trained. I have not been tested with cats. But seeing as I have terrier in me, it's probably best that I don't cohabitate with them.

I could stand to lose a few pounds (my foster momma has me on a special diet now), but over all I am super adorable, well rounded, and very socialized. I would make a great addition to any family.

My adoption fee is $300, which covers the cost of my spay,my routine vetting and microchip.
