Buttercup and Wesley
12 years old (approximately)
4-6 lbs
Good with dogs but should be in a quiet home and only with older, calm dogs since they’re so tiny.
Buttercup and Wesley are very sweet senior Chihuahuas who were surrendered to a shelter in MD. They are both 12 years old and were handed over to the shelter by relatives of their owner that passed away. Both were underweight (Buttercup was only 3.8 lbs) with poor skin and fur and overgrown nails. They are being given good nutritious food to remedy those minor things to build them up to be thriving seniors and not “surviving” seniors as they may have been in their previous home.
They are both trained on pee pads but also go potty outdoors. Buttercup wants to be in your lap and craves human attention. Wesley is slightly sigh impaired but he gets around fine. They are very quiet and well behaved tiny little dogs that would be a welcome addition in a suitable home to spend their golden years. They enjoy easy living – sitting with you watching TV or your favorite movie or being that calm companion in your busy or stressful life. Their gentle souls bring a happiness and peaceful feeling they are ADORABLE! Be their hero – adopt a senior dog and give them that chance they deserve.
Please note: Buttercup and Wesley are bonded and must be adopted together. Their adoption fee of $300 is for both dogs. Due to their size and age, they will not be placed in a home with young children.
