My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Eugene. I am a 5 year old pug, who was rescued from a puppy mill in Missouri. A rescue came for me and the rest of my siblings too, and brought me to safety. I am living in a foster home now, and they are caring for me and giving me the love I deserve. Although I am heart worm positive (a very treatable issue), I will have my final treatment in a month and will be good as new. After that is complete I can get neutered. I can still go to a forever home when one is found. I am shy at first, and can be untrusting until I know you. I am doing well on a leash when i go out to potty and am even learning the signals to go outside. I am learning to go up and down the stairs and learning to come when my name is called. I will even snuggle up with my foster mommy and my foster pug sister in bed at night. I am curious about toys but not quite sure what to do with them yet; I have never had them so it's all new to me. I am still a little timid when I hear sudden noises and with new people. That is because I have never been exposed to alot of things. It is amazing I have any trust in humans left at all considering how awful they have been to me. I am a really sweet pug boy-a true rags to riches story.
