My story

My name is Georgie girl. I was rescued out of a shelter in SC. Animal control found me running down a very busy road, and brought me into the shelter. I was terribly matted when I got there, and super thin. MMR took pitty on me and pulled me from the shelter and into their care. I had to be shaved down as I was too badly matted, and it could not be brushed out. They tried to groom me, but my hair was just in horrible shape.  I am estimated to be between 2-3years old, and need to put on about 5-8lbs. I am only 12lbs right now.  I am still very, very shy & scared, and tremble some. I'm getting over the shock still...
I have a good appetite, and am now eating well. I am good with other dogs, but have not played with them yet. But I do like to be around them. I also love to be held and pet. I really crave love and stability. Since I'm super delicate, a home without small kids would be ideal.

My adoption fee is $350, which covers the cost of my spay, my transport to MD, my routine vetting and microchip.
