Bella is a precious 9 month old female Cocker Spaniel puppy that came to us from a Westchester, New York shelter where she was an owner surrender due to landlord issues. However, the shelter believed this was a made up story because they later discovered that Bella had a very serious congenital heart murmur which could cause her to die. Bella has a heart condition called a PDA (patent ductus arteriosus) murmur and it's genetic. With the kindness and generosity of our rescue's supporters, we were able to raise enough money to bring Bella to a board-certified cardiologist to assess her condition. The doctor determined that Bella is in fact a candidate for a life-saving surgery and thanks to more supporters, we fundraised enough money for this surgery. Bella is scheduled for her heart surgery on Tuesday, June 23rd at The Animal Medical Center in Manhattan. After her recovery, she will be available for adoption. If you are interested in adopting Bella, please submit an application on our website at www.nyabandonedangels.com.
