Dollar Bill (fondly known as "Dollie") is a handsome red Cocker Spaniel just 4 years old. Dollie found himself dumped one day by his owner at the Staten Island Shelter due to housebreaking issues. The owner had actually been in touch with us about taking Dollie in, but then took him to the Shelter before we could step up to help (we discussed crate training with the owner, which seemed to be news to him, and not something he was prepared to tackle). Dollie was very shy and scared in the shelter but showed no aggression. Upon learning of his fate, we immediately took him in. Dollie is currently fostering in Brooklyn (where he is taking well to crate-training) and is now in the market for a loving adoptive home where he can reach his full potential. He is a healthy boy who has been neutered, microchipped, is current on all shots and has tested negative for heartworm. Dollie will be professionally groomed before adoption and will go home with a new leash and collar.
