My basic info
Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Buffin is an eleven-week-old kitten who was dumped, along with his three other siblings, on a small country road on the Lake/McHenry boarder. There was a mangled crate near them. We can only guess that they were thrown out of a car by the way they were found.
The 19 year old girl who found them called Lake County Animal Control asking them take the kittens. Animal Control was going to charge a fee per cat for them to take the cats. The girl lived with her parents, her father was unemployed, they were close to losing their house and could not afford the fee. According to them they were told if they couldn't afford it they should bring them back where they found them.
The girl and her parents didn't want to do that so they started calling around to see if any shelter would take them. Everyone said no that they were filled up with cats/kittens. When we heard the situation, although we were full too our hears went out to the kittens and the people so we squeezed them in.
All the kittens are very sweet and real troopers considering what they have been through. They purr non-stop, grateful for the love and care they are receiving.
Here is what Buffin's foster mom has to say: Buff and Earl are doing just great! They are healthy, shiny and confident. So friendly, too! They are now fully assimilated into the home outside of the office room and Buff is surely determined to become Rookie's buddy. That would be an all-time first for any kitten to achieve, but he seems to be doing just that!!!! Yesterday one of the kids found Buffin purring and rubbing up against my dog's face. That usually elicits a growl, but not this time!
You can definitely say that these kittens are fabulous with kids, dogs, and other cats.
