Sadie is a 1 1/2 year old german shepherd mix. She is very active and loves other dogs. Her favorite activity besides eating is running and jumping, and when all her foster-siblings are outside she delights in frolicking from one to the other just to see what they are doing. She's still learning doggy manners but watches and learns very quickly. Sadie came from a sad background. She was not socialized much at all, and learned to fear people from the other dogs in her previous house. We are working on overcoming some of her fear issues and she's starting to see that people can bring joy and goodness into her life. She's learning how to catch a ball and how to heal. She's already aced 'sit' and 'no'. When Sadie is comfortable and feeling safe she has a joyful way of seeing the world. She's extremely intelligent and loves to learn. After a solid nap she rolls over on her back with one leg jutting up in the air and wiggles. She thinks this is great fun and relishes the attention it brings her from her other foster siblings. Sadie gets along great with cats, and probably eventually will get along with children, but until her fear and insecurity are eradicated, I would be cautious with children. She is very shy with strangers right now, but is gaining confidence and feeling more secure as time goes on.
