Meet OFELIA!!

Ofelia is an approximately 2 year old, 7 pound, spayed female, Chihuahua mix.

Ofelia was found as a stray on the streets of Lytle and turned into the shelter. She had thinning hair, probably from poor nutrition, but is now beautiful, healthy, and ready for a home of her own.

Ofelia is an absolute sweetheart. She is initially a bit shy, but quickly settles in once she is comfortable and knows she is safe. Being so small, Ofelia would be the perfect companion or travel buddy. She does very well with other dogs, big and small. She does not mind being crated, but will require some work on potty training.

Ofelia is heartworm negative, current on vaccinations and flea and heartworm preventive, and is micro-chipped. She comes with a health certificate to travel.

Ofelia's preferred home has a secure fenced in yard, and because of her size, no children under 8 please.

Ofelia is currently in a foster home in San Antonio TX and can be transported to your area once adopted. All adopters must meet requirements.

Ofelia is available through The City of Lytle Texas Animal Care & Control. Her adoption fee is $185, and ground transport fee to the East coast via Rescue Road Trips is $185. Ground transport runs every 2 weeks and fills up fast. Option to fly available at reasonable airline rates and cost of crate.
