~ ADOPTION PENDING ~
You may meet and apply to adopt Heather at our ADOPTION EVENT on SUNDAY, MARCH 4th from 12 Noon – 3:00 at PETCO in NEWPORT BEACH. (Our event is held INSIDE of the PETCO store.) adoptpetmatch@gmail.com
Heather is a female Poodle/Schnauzer mix approximately 2 years old. She currently weighs 14 pounds and her ideal adult weight should be right around 18-20 pounds. Heather has been professionally groomed and has soft, non-shedding curls of light and dark gray with a beautiful shiny silver overtone. She has a shorter haircut at the moment but her curls will grow out longer if allowed. Heather is a very tender, sweet, and submissive young dog. She is shy and hesitant at first, but you can really tell that she wants to be with people and be loved. She perks up immediately for treats and has quickly learned that its fun to get tasty goodies from her human caretakers. We think Heather is quite smart and should pick up the daily routines and ways of the household rapidly. She is great with other dogs, but she definitely prefers the more mellow, gentle variety of canine companions as more rowdy dogs will scare her. Heather looks to her people for direction and has an innocent, puppyish quality about her where everything around her is new and different and interesting. She loves toys and has recently discovered she also loves romping around in the backyard in the sunshine. We don't know where Heather spent the first two years of her life since she came in stray to the shelter, very skinny, and neglected, however, we have a feeling that she had a rough, unkind past. She is a darling dog and we think she will bond closely and be a wonderful, devoted pet. Heather is very quiet inside the home and we have yet to hear a peep out of her. She likes to be with people and will follow you silently from room to room. As she becomes more comfortable in her environment we expect to see her become more playful since she is still a young dog. Heather rides well in the car and is learning how to walk on leash. She has been vet checked and is healthy. Heather is ready for her new forever loving home today!
Heather’s adoption donation is $475 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
Heather is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteers, Karen and Family and is ready for her forever home.
You may meet and apply to adopt Heather at our ADOPTION EVENT on SUNDAY, MARCH 4th from 12 Noon – 3:00 at PETCO in NEWPORT BEACH located at 1280 Bison Ave., Newport Beach, CA 92660. adoptpetmatch@gmail.com
