Florence and companion cat, Mazzie (also adoptable), were dumped at a shelter by family members of someone who had to enter a nursing home. Imagine going from a loving home to the cage of shelter….how frightened they must have been. Now both are safe in a foster home and thriving on human love and care as well as the company of other cats and dogs.

Florence is a stunning classic brown tabby Maine Coon with the distinctive “M” head stamp, bushy tail, long ear hairs, toe tuffs and fluffy ruff. She is just a bit shy in the beginning but warms up quickly and, eventually, seeks out attention. Florence is a healthy three year old with no litter box or food issues.

Florence asked me to tell you that she is very anxious to get her own home. She will be happy with other friendly cats and dogs but will also flourish in a home with just humans for companionship if she won’t be left alone for long.
