GRAYSTONE IS BEING FOSTERED IN HUNTINGTON, WV
Hi, there! My name is Graystone, “Gracie” to my foster parents. I used to belong to someone but I don’t remember who. Someone cared enough for me to have me spayed but somehow I ended up in a shelter, one that really does not have the funds to take good care of me. But there is a very nice lady who volunteers to get pets out of that shelter. Thanks so much to her for contacting Maine Coon Rescue who took me into foster care and gives me shelter, good food and medicine, and lots and lots of love.
I love talking and can makes lots of different sounds depending on what I want. I meow, hiss, growl and trill at different levels. I can get along with other cats so long as they don’t bully me; dogs are ok too if they are nice to me. I am a bit independent in that I like lying on laps but sometimes I like my solitude too. I like playing with string and feather toys and love sleeping in an enclosed area close to a heat source. Birds and activities on the outside are especially fun to watch out the windows – I remember being out there with them at one time!
Note from foster mom – Gracie is a lovely, typical Turkish Van/mix cat who will likely do best in a home without a cat with a dominant personality. Gracie has never been around children but as breed, Turkish Vans do not normally appreciate young children; responsible older children will probably be ok. She has a sensitive tummy so she requires good quality food. Graystone was born in early 2015.
Gracie is being fostered in the Charleston, WV area; transport within a reasonable distance can be arranged especially if the adopter is willing to meet the transporter part way. Her $125 adoption fee covers all vetting including combo test for FIV/FeLV (negative), spay/neuter, rabies and FVRCP vaccinations, deworming, flea treatment/preventative and a complimentary microchip. For further information, please contact email rescue@mainecoonrescue.net.To adopt Gracie, please submit an application at http://www.mainecoonrescue.net/forms/form_humanverify?formid=4079
