Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update 01/30/09: Trevor's vet cost to date is $464.28. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. He was neutered today and it was quite an ordeal as one of his testicles had not descended and was found in his abdomen! He is really out of it right now and will need to be with me a minimum of 7-10 days before he can go to his forever home. Happily, I have discovered that he loves to ride in the car and settles right down. He is still accident free in the house in spite of being left alone a few times for 7-8 hours. I think it is safe to say he is housetrained. He is very affectionate and friendly. I've had several people in and out of the house in the last few days and he hasn't meet anyone he doesn't like. It never ceases to amaze me that so many of the dogs that come into rescue are such good dogs with no behavior issues. Very sad....His lucky new family will be getting a purebred Silky Terrier who has been neutered, micro-chiped, current for one year on all his shots. He is heartworm negative and His fecal was clear/negative. He has also had a Bordetella treatment for kennel cough and has been vaccinated against Leptospirosis. Not to mention he is a very charming, cuddly bundle of love!!! If you think he might be right for you, please fill out an application on our website.
Initial Bio 01/26/09: There's a new young "man" in town, he’s 3 years old, and he is an elegant, handsome purebred Silky Terrier. MEET TREVOR!!! He is from a kill shelter in Austin where he was rescued and brought to his new foster home nearby. As of this writing, he's only been with me about 24 hours so it will be awhile before I know his true personality. What I can tell you so far is he is one happy fellow who gets along well with my other 4 dogs. I don't have cats or small children so I can't say how he feels about them. Assuming he likes children, he would be a good match for a family with somewhat older children, maybe 8 and up as he is not a lightweight (15 lbs) and would be able to handle some playful interactions with them. He is very lively, affectionate and energetic. I don't think he would do well left alone for long periods of time since he is so outgoing and loves to play with me and/or the other dogs. So far, no accidents so keep your fingers crossed. When he gets excited, he snorts and I keep looking for Wilbur from Charlotte’s web :-). He needs to be neutered and to have a well check so it will be roughly 2 weeks before he will be available for adoption if all goes well. If you are interested, please complete an application now as I expect a lot of interest in him. He is a young and healthy dog. Thanks for looking!
