The Fuzzy Pet Foundation - (TFPF) was asked by a South Korean animal rescue organization to take in a Jindo who has suffered from abuse and neglect at the hands of her 'owners.' She was being raised for slaughter. Her name is Bomi (ë´ì´) which is derived from the word 'spring' in Korean. Bomi was tightly chained up to a metal pole and she was suffering from severe mange. She could barely move around because of the excruciating pain from her skin sores. She was also bred several times; at the time of her rescue, Bomi's puppies were found dead and completely frozen in the dirt.
Bomi was treated for her skin issues and made a full recovery. She weighs 38.2 pounds and has a clean bill of health.
Bomi is a timid little girl who is slowly learning to trust humans again. She has started to walk on leash, and gets excited at the sight and smell of treats! She's not a barker at all. She is fine around other dogs and animals. Bomi has NEVER shown any signs of aggression. She follows around her caregivers, and is curious of her surroundings.
