Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Maya is the most wonderful girl anyone could ask for. She was rescued from a very sad place in Kuwait and was flown to the US in January to find her forever home. She's currently located in the Raleigh/Durham area in North Carolina.
Maya is approximately a year old, housebroken (for the most part -- could use a little reinforcement), incredibly well behaved, knows the difference between toys and things she shouldn't get into, crate trained (but isn't destructive outside of her crate), loves other dogs, great with cats, and enjoys children.
Because Maya came from a place where she knew no kindness, she's a little reserved at first but quickly opens up and wants nothing but to shower her people with love. She weighs 42 pounds but thinks she's a lap dog.
Maya would do best in a home with other sighthounds as she is primarily a Saluki. She loves a good fast run followed by an 18-hour nap. Must have a fenced yard and sighthound experience.
Application, references, Vet reference, home visit, and $300 adoption fee required (her travel to the US was sponsored).
